HI! I have several very long descriptions that won't sync when I use the import feature, and I prefer my descriptions to look pretty using italics, bold etc. So I have the sync feature turned off. But I'd really like to be able to export my items WITH the descriptions I've spent hours writing. If I turn on the sync and export, will I get the descriptions I wrote in online store? OR will square over ride them, and wipe them all out? I'm afraid to try it. lol
ON that same line, as I add more items to the store, do I have the option of turning on the sync, to bring in new descriptions, but then turn off again so I can pretty them up?
thanks

If you turn syncing back on, any descriptions you have within your Square account will overwrite the changes you made within Weebly, and not the other way around. This happens because Square doesn't support any of the rich text editing that we do within Weebly for your Square Online Store.

Glad you brought this up as well! It looks like the team is going to work on some verbiage to make the expected behavior more clear.

Great question, @HerbalMagic. Let me check with our team to see what the expected behavior is for that.

Will I lose in Weebly just the formatting changes or the actual text itself in item descriptions, if I turn sync on? If it is that I will lose text, is there a way to export my item descriptions in Weebly, because I have most of my item descriptions in my Weebly online store.
Thank you.

From the way I understand it, you loose everything that is not already written in square. Since it only syncs one direction, from square to weebly. (for descriptions) So if the description is blank in square, and you sync, it will be blank in weebly (you loose what you wrote),
I'm in the same boat, as all my descriptions were written in weebly, and since there is no way to export in weebly, the only way to save them, that I can see, is to copy and paste them one at a time, into a spreadsheet. (your items can be exported from square, so you have all the info, just not the descriptions...etc).
