Background music

Hi, I would love to have background music on the homepage of my free website

But have had no luck so far

What is the easiest way  for a newby like me, do you need a embeding code or can you use the url as a link

You'll need to embed some code if you don't want any obvious controls. You could also look at some of the audio options in the App Center:

Are searching soundcloud  have the urls of two I like, now to find their embed codes

I don't remember exactly where they put their embed code, though you can definitely add audio from soundcloud with the Embed Code element.

I am not familiar with soundcloud, but have found some music that I think will suit my home page

I found some code by typing in the url, but are not sure whether it is the right one,it is called icon code

for social icons, it doesnt sound like a music link to me

No, that sounds like html code for social icon links like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Here is a link from the Soundcloud help center.

I followed their instructions, by clicking the share button I did find a choice of codes, to share on twitter,email google  etc..  not sure whether any of these would be suitable

When I click on the embed after the share button  as they advice,just a blank page appears

May be its been taken off or its my computer at fault

No, I'm sorry. Those don't sound like html codes from Soundcloud. Try looking for the term "embed code" on their site.

asking , but just wondered if you could possibly  find the embed code and load it to my site for me

I'm sorry, @newby. I'm not sure if we would be able to do that for you. Another factor you need to consider is to make sure that the version you are using is not copyrighted. Does Soundcloud have a support center you can access?

Why is any audio source code blocked that I would want to embed? Why does Weebly block it? You shouldn't.

Hi there. What do you mean by block? Are you trying to embed an element but the code is not working?

A more simple method would be to add the Audio tab in site builder to the Footer tab builder,  why it is not there I don't really know..?  another simple method but another restriction from weebly.
