When do you work on your site?

I'm a creature of habit, so I find that when I need to make updates to a site I usually end up doing it the evenings when I've got free time.  When our mobile apps were released, it suddenly became much easier to work on a site at any time I wanted.  I found that when I worked on a site and what I worked on shifted a little bit with the extra freedom.

When do you like to work on your sites? Do you use one of our mobile apps, the desktop editor, or both?

I haven't used the app yet, just logging in on my laptop. Sometimes I do updates on my lunch break, most of the time it's after my wife and baby have gone to bed. Sometimes with my morning coffee on weekends!

I found the app a week ago and used it to update my site quickly from my phone which is awesome and super convenient! I make major updates at home but have been known to make quick updates in the computer lab at work when links for my students are broken.

I've been using my laptop or desktop whenever I want to make updates.  I feel I am more productive when I can see everything on a larger screen.

I find both are useful in different ways.  The mobile apps are awesome when I need to make quick updates or check on forms/store orders/etc, but the desktop editor is great when I'm doing a lot of heavy lifting.  I've used the app on my iPad to whip up quick sites, too.

I hate mobile anything for working on Auto-correct and accidentally swiping at the wrong time is the bane of my existence. I prefer to work on the desktop version. Since I've got a jam packed hectic house, I normally work early morning, midnight to 3am or so, when everyone else is asleep and I can have some peace and quiet. Smiley Happy

I have a retail site so I work on it whenever I need to make changes, additions, and updates. I've tried using the mobile app to add products but I wasn't successful in having them go live. They saved as hidden items, which was a little challenging.

When I'm launching a new range of product or running promotions I'm working from morning to evening, pretty much 9-6 or thereabouts.

How long ago did you last try our mobile app? We've made a number of improvements and it's possible that it will work much better for you now. Thanks for post, by the way. Smiley Happy

I use the phone app for the easy direct access to my photographed artwork but if it needs to be altered in some way I use the Mac at home after doing the Photoshop magic on it.

Phone use? anytime, esp on the bus while commuting or in coffeeshops on my break. The Mac? on weekends.

At home or at work; anytime during the day.

When working on my site, I mostly work with the desktop version on the weekends. I've only really used the mobile app to review or make small tweaks to my site that I've missed while on the desktop version. I've tried using the mobile app to start a new blog entry but found it hard to post from the app. Perhaps if I had a little more experience with the app I could use it more.

Anything in particular that you think could improve the experience for you with the mobile app?  We love hearing how people use our tools, and what they think would make things work even better for them.

Currently, I have three sites. I usually use the desktop editor. It is easier to see and use - especially when adding products or writing. However, I may use the mobile app for small changes - especially if I find a problem with my site and am not near my desktop.

One of my sites is really my husband's site which I built for him. He had no clue what to do when we first built it, but Weebly is so simple that he now adds his own products. However, I will be updating the stie soon to include one of the new responsive themes. Plus, I'll be adding new content such as a weekly or biweekly blog and more. He's not a writer, so I will assume that responsibility. Therefore, I will be working on it once or twice per week. (HookedOnPinball.com)

My second site is solely an information site for myself. I'm a professional writer, and I just want to give my clients little tidbits about myself. I do need to work on it a bit more to provide more clarity, but I usually just add a new blog a couple times per week as a promotional to some of my clients. (AbbyCampbellOnline.com)

My third site is totally being revamped right now as I'm building a new business selling professional holistic supplements. This will be my new baby that will be released sometime this summer. While I work with clients, it was difficult to work on it each day. Therefore, I just closed out a bunch of accounts so that I can work on my site hard each and everyday (once my taxes are done... lol). I have over 275 brands to add, but I will launch once I have added 10-12 brands. I have much work to do with this site, so I will be working on it each and everyday. Not only will I have products to add, but I will be adding an article/blog section on health and wellness. Because my clients and readers know me by my writing, I feel this will keep them informed and direct them to my products. I will most likely be writing articles three times per week to start. but I will be adding products every day (probably for years). I plan to build this baby so big that I'll never have to write for another client again. (911BodyResQ.com)

I'm thankful for Weebly making it so easy to manage my sites. Its user-friendliness relieves me to focus more on the things I want to do and that is to write and sell.

Because I still work full time at my "other" job, I am limited to just when I have a minute or two to dash over and update or ad a new venue or product. Otherwise it's at night from my laptop.

I work on my sites on and off during the day because I am doing it for a business, but I check everything during the evening also.

I usually work on my sites early morning, especially with major changes. I  tweet and promote at least 5 times a week, plus try to add new products twice a week,

I love the phone feature to see how it looks when making changes, which I like to do on my desktop in thr desktop editor.

I like my phone app for alerts, especially sales, and of course how it looks in a small form.

Keep up the good work, and I love the community!

I have two weebly sites.

Pro Site for my business:  I work on this any time it needs an update, during work hours, via my PC using the desktop editor.

Free site for my community organisation:  I only work on this after hours, via my PC using the desktop editor.  I'm quite strict with myself about working on this site because it could very easily interrupt the time I must spend on my business.  This site requires me to upload information from others within the organisation and they all know that I'll only do this outside of my work time.

I love hearing about how folks work on their sites after their "day jobs." I completely understand this, and it's my personal strategy. I'm sure some of you also work around websites and/or social media. I feel like we have a special circumstance, where it's almost hard to work on sites after work, because we've been seeing it all day!

I'd love to hear what motivates the "after-work" crowd!
