The page loads and then the data disappears after a few seconds. Has anyone else experienced this? I contacted support on chat and they suggested I try another internet network lol. That's no good. I only have one.

You would need to use the cancel link over to the right - I went ahead and turned off auto-renew for both of your Starter subscriptions from our end, though.

This privacy policy generator is not GDPR complaint! It says so right at the bottom of their terms. I thought there was supposed to be a GDPR policy generator by now or at least update the policy generator to include GDPR complaince!!!

I would take the privacy policy that you've generated with that and show it to the person who will help advise you on any GDPR compliance actions you need to take. In terms of a PP it might be sufficient for you, but we can't make a guarantee that as an automated tool that it would be ok right out of the box.

Thanks for your reply, @Adam. So say if you operate nearly soley within weeblys ecosystem with few customisations, plus a few third party apps and addons such as zotabox, the privacy policy would mostly cover a weebly ecommerce website?
Does it cover data collection from weebly-made contact forms, surveys, newsletter signups?
Should I visit the websites of the third party apps I have connected to my website and copy and paste their GDPR-compliant policy terms for their users to use (if any) onto the end of the main Privacy Policy terms?
Lastly, do you offer the Policy Generator in other languages?

Thanks for doing that Adam.
On the Privacy Policy Generator above. WOW! So I waited all that time and in the end it's not even GDPR compliant.

@SMD Even after saying thay they created the generator to be compliant with GDPR... https://hc.weebly.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000977487-GDPR-What-Weebly-is-Doing unless I am reading their claims incorrectly.

@eo1n, I don't believe you're reading it wrong.
Anyway, I've update one of my websites to make it GDPR compliant. Feel free to check it out.

Which bit of Weebly does not recognise that it can be fined 4% of its Turnover if it doesn't have ITS OWN PRIVACY POLICY which is GDPR compliant?
That's because I live in the UK and Weebly needs to be 100% GPDR compliant - including its Privacy Policy - because you have all of us Europeans as customers.
Maybe I should start addressing GDPR queries to Jack Dorsey CEO of Square (the new OWNER OF WEEBLY) via Twitter (his other business) https://twitter.com/jack ?
Would that get results faster - especially as Twitter is more or less up to speed with GDPR?
....Or maybe the tech people at Weebly could start reading what Twitter has to say about GDPR
https://gdpr.twitter.com/en.html
....Here's their data Processing Agreement because guess what? They recognise the need to have one
https://gdpr.twitter.com/en/dpa.html
....Here's the Twitter Privacy Policy Update - already available

Just to be clear, our own (as in Weebly's) privacy policy has been updated to be GDPR compliant. The Privacy Policy Generator tool that we have might not generate a policy that is specifically compliant with GDPR, but it will go a long way towards getting you what you do need if you take it to a professional who can advise you on GDPR. Per the article we are also building tools that both make we ourselves compliant with GDPR and also help you as a site owner to achieve compliance.

You've got just 12 days left until GDPR comes into effect and you're still saying "we will" after TWO YEARS OF BEING ON NOTICE?
According to your responses so far your priority seems to be on making sure that
1) Weebly is GDPR compliant and
2) you've done nothing (e.g. Data Processing Agreement) to make sure that website owners can be.

This is the information we have within our help center, and the agents in the support center are receiving training on this all this week.

I'm trying to find out for you @yuuzuu! I need this information also.
By chance, did you make a ticket with support? You can be asked to be tagged for the bug update. https://hc.weebly.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I'm confused, what's the point in us website owners generating any kind of Privacy Policy GDPR compliant or otherwise when the actual systems we are using are not. Isn't is just paying lip service to the whole principle?
I still can't delete order details out of my weebly store system, I still can't stop weebly asking my customers for all their shipping details when they are only buying downloads. I still can't stop weebly sending me emails that contain all my customer's details, instead of just a notification to say I've had a sale (then I can log into my account and see the details) as it stands now, the information is there in my outlook email account for others to see!
So I reiterate; what's the point of displaying a privacy policy that means nothing and is actually making statements about collecting, retaining and using information that is incorrect?

Hi @shaz1953 I know we are getting close to the deadline and I definitely understand the apprehension. You will see many changes to your store launching soon (sorry, I don't have a specific date other than before 5/25/18) but if you want any further clarification you can send a ticket to our support team with your questions. Your ticket will then be escalated to our policy team.

Hi @shaz1953. I see a ticket from a couple of days ago about store emails, but nothing regarding GDPR. Did you use a different email address? If so please send me a private message and I'll look it up for you.
