How to add content above your blog

Hi, I would like to either pin a post at the top of my blog or be able to enter some text. I have read that pinning isn’t possible unless I date the post far into the future so it stays at the top, so this would be a future suggestion from me to you. 

How would I add text above a blog though? I would like to add some fixed blurb above the posts.

If you're using a theme that supports sections, you can do this if your blog uses the Header page type. If you're using an older theme or custom theme made prior to the release of the sections element you won't be able to, though.

With one of the sections-enabled themes, you can drag content into the top section of a page so you could embed something from Pinterest there.

Thanks Adam. Looks like I choose one that doesn't support this: Unite - Blog. Is there a way to check which blog formats support Sections or would you be able to list me a few please so I can change the theme.

Hello antro! Any of the modern themes available on the Theme menu should support Sections, though they will list the details on their individual Theme pages, as well.
