About My Weebly Website

Hey there!

I am not quite sure if this is the right forum topic for my post, but I just want to ask for improvements for my new website. Well, you see I feel like something is missing in my website but I am not just sure what it is, so I would like to ask for help from you guys you have more experience in this industry.

My website: http://francisrevilla.weebly.com/

PS: That would be my temporary domain for now & the theme is custom made.

it is very good.  For a 14 year old you have done quite well. You have a website that is much better than 75% of weebly websites I see.  The only thing I would suggest is that it is too 'wordy' - try cutting down your description.  Good luck.

GREAT looking website Francis!

Two things that stand out to me:

1. The site title on your Home page and the initial internal pages is "Francis Revilla", but on other pages it is "Aurora". Not sure what the reasoning is behind it, but it might be confusing to some visitors.

2. You have incredible talent in and knowledge for your age, it's very impressive. However if you are looking to really establish a business as a web designer, it might be wise to leave off your age, as it isn't relative and might actually be a deterrent to some prospective clients. Just a thought.

Good luck to your future in web design!

Thanks for the replies / suggestions, I will be working on it.

Anyways,

just to make things clear, I used weebly's Aroma theme as my based theme and I also view source some codes / files from the Aurora theme (so that I won't spend anything in my theme, except time ofc) and I combine both codes to get the drag & drop feature working. (Theme inspired from some corvus themes website & luminous themes)

$0 spent for this project Smiley Happy

Hello Francis,

Reviewed your site. Looks good. Simple, clean and to the point, for the most part. I'm excited for a 14 year old entrepenuer to have developed the skill sets to accomplish what you have to date. Great job! I agree with the other comments, you might want to drop the age up front. If the relationship with a potential client develops, and you want to reveal your age, then you have that option. A little story to back that up... I became a Certified State Commercial Contractor in Florida at the young age of 21 years old. It took several years for much older people to give me the respect that position deserves. At the end of the day, it's about ability and results, not age. With that said, have you had any clients yet? If so, please send me some links to those websites, I would like to review them. I may have a project for you. You may communicate with me at hdbservices@yahoo.com. Ormand

Thank you Francis. In thinking about your situation a possible solution came to mind. Build several mock websites, different themes, etc... Choose topics and research them, then pretend you are the business owner wanting to attract customers and build your brand. Then create the sites. Once you have completed that task, when people ask you about a website, side step the issue of age and show them examples of what you have done. Weebly might even let you host the sites so they are active at a much discounted rate. In this way, you show your capabilities and potential clients will be more likely to entrust you with there business needs. Best of success to you.

Hi Ormand,

Thanks for suggesting, I will be creating more weebly themes & other platform themes. A premium theme selection, exclusive for my clients or customers.
