does url have to say weebly

Hey, the url for my site says /weebly.com after the site address. does this have to be there at the end of the url address?

Not at all, @jamiesmedley. If you purchase a custom domain name you don't need to have .weebly.com on the URL. Go to the Domains tab and then click on "Register" to buy your own domain.

Ok, purchased the domain.... Tried to connect the domain but now I also have to pay a monthly fee to have weebly host the domain? Egads....this is snowballing.

Hi @jamiesmedley. Did you purchase the domain through Weebly as Adam suggested? Domains tab, register domain. I'm not seeing a custom domain name in your account.
