"Website blocked due to phishing": HELP!!

Two people I know tried to access my website this week and got the warning "Website blocked due to phishing".

My site: www.hugh-dichmont.com

I have followed Weebly's guide to making sure all my links are "https" on the site, and I have SSL enabled. I even changed my design theme, as suggested, in case that was an issue.

I have submitted my site to Google for review- although the people who tried to access my site weren't googling me- they clicked on my website's link in my email footer.

This is only a recent problem, as my site has been working for years.

Any ideas?

Opens fine for me using Chrome and Firefox browsers in the US!

When I tried to access your site in Chrome and Firefox I got the phishing warning too (both from Malwarebytes, in the UK). But - when I omitted the hyphen (hughdichmont.com) a site opened straightaway in Chrome, Firefox and Vivaldi.

I assume you own both domains and point one to the other? Both domains come up clean on phishing test websites and both point to Weebly servers. It could be a false positive from Malwarebytes, in which case you can let them know via their forum.

Thanks. I contacted Malwarebytes, as suggested, via their forum. A staff member of theirs said that my site is in fact infected, and listed this page:

http://hugh-dichmont.com/uploads/1/3/0/6/130620197/pobaseva.pdf

I don't recognise that page on my site at all- I certainly didn't upload it.

What should I do now?

A large number of Weebly site owners (including myself) have been infected by these rogue pdf files, which can sometimes lead to some pretty unpleasant stuff when clicked. As I understand it, these files aren't actually hosted within the site but somehow get indexed by search engines as if they were. Weebly can dissociate the files from your site.

@Bernadette @Adam can you action this?

Thanks so much.

What is the "quite unpleasant stuff" that can happen if the file is clicked on? I clicked on it, like an idiot.

From my own experience the files are harmless in terms of computer security. They tend to act as advertising. In my case, mostly for things like essential oils and herbal pillows, usually connected to ebay sellers in the USA. However, one pdf was an advertisement for a particularly crude and unsophisticated porn site.

Gary.
