We don't want automated pick-up time in email receipt

Hi,

Our restaurant has had to switch to takeout only due to the current coronavirus situation.  We attempted to use the feature "select a pick-up time", but that didn't work, we were flooded with too many pick-ups at one 5 minute interval, and our kitchen was overwhelmed.  We have implemented our own system, where the user must add a PICK-UP TIME, choose from a selection of 15 minute windows.  We are tracking stock on each 15 minute window, so the kitchen won't have too many customers at any given time and the quality of the dinners won't be compromised.  This is working well, but the automated receipt still says

Your order will be ready for pickup

Tomorrow after 5:30 PM

We do NOT want this on the email receipt.  I can't imagine this is the only business that doesn't want an automated pick-up time.  There are many cases where you order something online, first get a confirmation email, then later get specifics on when it is ready to pick-up.  Think Target.com store pick-up, other food online order systems.

Could you please add a way to turn these two lines off in the automated email receipt?

Hi @real_lincoln I don't see a pickup time available. Did you disable this feature?

We handle the pick-up time ourselves.  This is only visible when our store is open for orders - typically 5 pm til 3 pm the day of our dinners (weds, fri, sun).  We would just like a way to disable the 2 lines that are automatically generated at the top of an email order confirmation, because it confuses our customers:

Your order will be ready for pickup

It's not possible to disable the pickup line in the email. You can, however, enable the "mark as ready before marking complete" option. This way you can send an email to the customer when the order is available for pickup. Click on Pickup and Delivery, then edit the store location. Then click edit next to the pickup and delivery hours and scroll down to the bottom of the screen where it says Fulfillment workflow.

One of the next features the team is working on is the ability to automatically delay how quickly orders are placed and coming in. I'm not sure of the exact date for launch, but it is a high priority feature to add and the teams are actively working on it.
