I'll admit it.
This is the first forum I've joined in... oh, I don't know... 8 years. Maybe more. So maybe some of my suggestions may seem a little out of date.
As I'm scrolling around the topics and sections, I've noticed some key elements are missing. Community topics themselves. Such as, a "Introduce yourself" topic, maybe pinned somewhere. ( You can still pin topics right ) ???
Other fun topics, maybe not directly related to Weebly, but connected indirectly.
The real reason is for newcomers, like say... me... may feel a little overwhelmed, and really... there's nowhere for anyone to start. I searched around to find somewhere to post something, or reply to something... anything, but couldn't find much.
I know it's new here, but there should be somewhere for members to simply say hello, or discuss something... anything to get them started.
I know the point of the forum is for members to discuss Weebly related jive, and maybe get help if they need it.
But for a community to really become a "community" something has to be here for people to talk about, even if not directly related to Weebly.
Something to allow the members to get to know each other and maybe have some fun discussions. Then, as members get to know who's who and what's what... the "directly related to Weebly" aspects will fall into place.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the Feedback Billy!
We really appreciate any opportunity to make the Weebly community a more welcoming place and really appreciate any ideas and suggestions that you guys come up with.
In regards to your suggestions, I guess we can boil that down to the need for more 'Springboard' topics to give people more opportunities to hop in and make those initial posts?
Definitely a good idea! The last thing we want is for people to be uncertain if they are welcome to post in the community.

Hey, Billy!
This is AMAZING feedback! Thank you so much.
I am definitely working on getting some conversations going. I took your advice and started an introduction thread here: https://community.weebly.com/t5/Guidelines/Welcome-to-the-Community-Beta-Introduce-yourself/m-p/242#...
We also have this thread about what brought you to Weebly: https://community.weebly.com/t5/Getting-Started/What-brought-you-to-Weebly-We-want-to-know/m-p/184#M...
If you have any conversations in mind, let me know! I'm happy to get some specific topics started for folks. Otherwise, keep checking in over the next few weeks as we continue our welcoming posts!
Thanks again.

Good question. I think they've gotten some great conversation starters since your post. From what I've read about starting forums, you don't want to get conversations started, but then you're also supposed to let them grow organically and let the community take over, allow users to post what they want to post instead of making them post to specific boxes you've designed.

Weebly users have a lot of great ideas and questions and a strong drive to work with one another in my experience, so I think we'll see things grow really well based on that. I guess I'm very excited!
