My Search Bar Is Not Working

Hi.

After I posted an entry on my blog, I wanted to search it up on the search bar but found that it wasn't working.

I saw that others had their websites re-indexed for the search bars to work again. Is that possible for me?

I can try to re-index the sites for you, but we do also have an open bug regarding the search function. What happens when you try to search on your site? Can you please confirm the site name, blog post title, and search term you both are using?

The post I'd try to search is Geo-political : The Colonial Protege of the Dutch

The search terms I've used are Indonesia, Geo-political and Dutch.

When I try to search, it shows up as 404 Error Not Found.

Thanks, @lunamihee I started the re-index for you, but I did also confirm that the bug is still open. Hopefully the re-index helps, but this most likely will need the bug to be resolved first. 

We're not able to provide an eta, but if I hear of any progress I'll let you know.

The bug for this issue is still ongoing. If I hear of any updates I'll make sure to post on this thread for you guys.

Was this bug ever fixed? Our blog search doesn't work. (You search for terms that are known to exist and it finds nothing.)

This is an older thread, so I'm pretty sure it was resolved. It's possible you may be experiencing a new, similar issue. I can start off by re-indexing your website. 

If you are still having an issue after 48 hours, you are welcome to reach out to our support team for additional troubleshooting steps. You can reach the team by scrolling to the bottom of our Help Center and clicking the contact us button. Once you see the automated chat window try typing something like "speak with a rep" to be directed to the teams available to your account.
