Maybe it's been already said, but I can't find anything.

Have a "reply" button after the last post in a topic.

Get's kind of weird when you reply right now. each post has a "reply" button, and even now, I'm never totally sure if I'm replying to the previous poster's comment, or simply adding a reply to the topic. Right now, I scroll back up to the top and reply to the first post... just to be safe. But, it would be much better if there was a generic reply after all the posters comments, as well as the ability to reply to an individual post.

It works pretty much like you've already figured out, in that you're replying to whichever post you click the reply button on (including the original post of the thread).  I can't say whether we'd be able to add another reply button for the thread itself or not, though @Erin might know more.

I figured that. Still, a little troublesome. Maybe not so much now, but if a post gets really popular, having to scroll all the way to the top to reply to the original poster... can become tedious. Most forums have a reply button on the bottom of the post... actually... this is the only forum I know of that doesn't have one. lol. Just saying.
