Blog vs standard

I am building my first web site.  I selected a blog theme to begin playing arond.  I have entered a significant anount of content.  Now I realise that what I want are standard pages.  If the only difference between a standard and blog page is that one is sorted by date and the other is sorted according to a deliberately constructed paradigm, WHY CAN I NOT MIGRATE THE CONTENT TO A STANDARD PAGE?!

While we don't allow you to move or copy content from a blog post to a standard page, you should still be able to create standard pages on the Pages tab, @mogl.
