Can you apply dicount coupon before calculating shipping?

I've got a standard 'free shipping on orders over $30' on my store. Now I have a discount coupon that gives a % off the price. If the original (without discount) cart value was more that $30, the customer gets the free shipping. However, once the coupon is applied, the total cart value falls below $30 but the free shipping seems to still apply. Is there some way around this?

Since the original price is greater than the $30 it triggers the free shipping before the coupon and hence will still have the free shipping option after the applied discount. There is no way to change this at this time. However, you can raise the shipping minimum to $45 during the sale so that it will catch the possibilities that fall below..

From what I see there are 4 different order combinations that fall under $30 after the coupon 2 x $19.95, $2x 14.95, 1x $14.95 plus 1 x $19.95 or 3x $14.95. This means if they get the discount the shipping is still charged. Let me know if this helps 😃
