Most definitely I'm not the only one who would appreciate the availability of a working customizable Audio Player app with nice visuals, f.e. (spectrum) visualizer, analog vu meters, disc spinning or 2-track tape machine... working on both desktops (cross-browser) as well as iOS/Android.
I thought I found the ticket when I saw the currently available apps. "Audio Player" and "Spinning Player" have very very nice visuals, but (after subscribing, i experienced that) unfortunately, there currently are too many bugs still to be usable. F.e., the first one currently still has loud noise bursts issues with Safari and both have issues regarding saving custom settings. Of course I hope Widgetic is capable of debugging the players in near future. But the coding problems they experience with the bugs seem to be tough.
Hopefully for us (musicians/audio recording engineers/producers) there'll be more options in near future besides the standard Weebly audio player and the current few very promissing ones that need work still. Curious if Widgetic will be capable of all the needed debugging and make everything work (then they'll have some splendid audio apps; I grant the succes for them) or if there'll be new options/apps. Anyway, there's need for it!
So, at the moment I'll stick with the Soundcloud players, even with their degraded sound quality (too many compression artifacts audible).
Does anyone happen to know if there are audio hosts that don't degrade the audio quality too much and offer embeddable players?
Hoping for better times regarding visually beautiful Audio Players.
