tsp143iiiw connected thru hotspot to android tablet

The printer is connected and prints . The things that are weird are the Square app says its connected by Ethernet and when it prints the app says the printer isn't connected so i have to dismiss the print operation every time .

@GRUBBINGRINGOS It sounds like a setting that allows you to connect both devices to your hotspot, but your hotspot is not functioning as a true router.  Most of the time the hotspot actually isolates the devices tethered to it and they don't cross connect.  TSP printers also use some very low level communication to print (the technology is actually quite old).

The best thing to do is buy you a tplink n300 nano type router that will connect to your wifi or hotspot and then you can share that connection to your tablet and printer and they can communicate with each other.  There are some apps and things listed out there for sharing the hotspot like a wifi connection, but most of the time your cellular provider will want you to have a dedicated hotspot and not just devices tethered.

I got it working the right way! I put the printer in Infrastructure Mode with my Hotspot SSID & Password, IP set to DHCP . everything seems to be working great now .
