trying to connect HP laser printer to print price tags.....

Has anyone been able to connect a laser printer to print price tags?

I did not do this specifically with a HP Laser jet but I printed to a Toner all in one before.

Chose my Avery Label size for a sheet printer, and Printed as a PDF.  Then had to print the PDF to the AIO printer.  I did that before buying my Label Printers to test the Labels Square prints.

So Square to Laser Jet or Office AIO printer did not work but Square to Avery then Download to PDF did work for me.

Thanks! I can't even find my blue tooth printer on my square ipad setup. I was told by square that I would be able to do, but I'm getting so frustrated since I can print word docs from the same ipad.

My printer connected to my Ipad is a Network printer, and Labels I think you can only print from a Desktop computer, but I am not sure.  I printed my Label Pdf from my Square Dashboard Items not from my Ipad Stand. 

The other thing is reading this article :6261-connect-recommended-hardware-to-square-register , HP Laser Jets are not listed as compatible.  Yes I know the Ipad can print to it but Square bypasses what is already connected and creats its own Blue tooth connection through the Ipad.  So to get the HP to show up in Square you might have to Forget the HP laser Jet in the Ipad Settings and then open Square and try to look for it.

If you look up troubleshooting for the Bluetooth reader, it walks you through how to forget a Bluetooth reader on the Ipad.  If the reader is connected with the Ipad, Square does not find it, but after forgetting it on the Ipad Square does find it.  Maybe if you have the Printer connected to the Ipad already this Might be why Square does no see it on the Ipad.  

2 things to think of though if this does not work:

1.    The Hp Printer is not on Square Supported List
2.     The Ipad POS is looking for Receipt or Ticket printer, not a laser printer.

Now you can print from the Square Dashboard from a Computer or possibly a Chromebook to print your Labels through your HP Laser Jet.  

Last resort would be trying:

Is the Laser Jet able to hook up through a Network cable or WiFi connection or is it Bluetooth only?
