scanner cord

I recently purchased the corded barcode scanner from Square and I was working on getting it set up. However, I can't get the cord to "lock" into the hand held scanner. Wondering if there is a trick? I slide it in and it does the beeps and it will work, but it won't snap into place, meaning the cord will actually fall out. Is there a step I am missing or is something possibly wrong with the cord/scanner?

Best suggestion is to call Customer Support concerning your issue.  Sounds like a cord connector defect - it should not just fall out on it's own and since this is a recent purchase, it should not be an issue for a return / exchange (at least that's my thought).   As the Community is not Customer Support or Tech Support, issues like this cannot be resolved here but, hopefully Customer Support can work out a resolution.
