register ap not working at home

I think I am having some type of setting or app issue. I just loaded the Register ap on my iphone. My ios is updated. In my home I cannot get the card to swipe. I took it to my friend's house and she had no problem with the card swipe in her yard. I came back home and cannot get it to work again. I noticed that the info bar at the top which indicates the power level, time, service provider, wifi symbol, etc. is grey in color as if the ap is not active or working. Have I got a setting plugged in incorrectly?  I need help quickly.  I need this by Friday.

Hey @mkirby, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the trouble.

 

In order to accept payments, the Register app requires a strong wifi or data connection. If you're in an area that doesn't have internet access or data coverage, you might consider accepting payments in Offline Mode. Keep in mind that you'll need to connect your device to the internet within 72 hours of accepting payments offline or we won't be able to capture the funds.
