Hi team,
This is an issue that I have seen for a few years now and I am wondering when the Woocommerce/Square teams will work together for the benefit of their customers. I cannot believe this is taking this long to fix a token issue.
I have one more time a WordPress site using the Woocommerce/Square integration and I am getting this message again but unfortunately I have not been able to fix the issue. I normally disconnect and reconnect the site to Square but the error is still displaying even though I have disconnected and connect the site a few times.
Woocommerce Square Heads up! There may be a problem with your connection to Square. In order to continue accepting payments, please disconnect and re-connect your site.
Any idea when this problem with disconnecting is going to be solved permanently?

I am sorry to hear about this situation. In this case, the best way to start this conversation would be to ask Automatic or the developer of the Square integration you are using to identify what exactly is broken on the integration. If they can confirm that something is indeed not working as expected and that something is part of Squares side of the equation, then will need them to provide the details of their findings along with a referencing Service or Case number. Once you have that information you will be able to reach out to our direct support team and they will get the information escalated.
Another more efficient alternative would be for the developer of the plugin you use to integrate with Square and Woo to reach out directly to Square as they have channels where their questions can get answers and they can collaborate with our integration developers on how to optimize their code.

Unfortunately your response does not solve the issue but I understand. The plugin is developed by Woocommerce team and not a third party. https://woocommerce.com/products/square/
I already reached to Woocommerce support team as well but they have not provided any answer. I am surprised that this is a very known issue (I see comments about it in many forums from both companies as well as WordPress forums) and nothing has been done or no communications has been established between the Automatic and Square developers (API teams).
Since you are an internal resource, that would be great for us "users", if you could raise a question internally and someone takes any action. I am having to register with another payment gateway just because of this issue.

Thank you for the quick reply! I will definitely pass this over to the team for their visibility but do keep in mind that while there might be multiple reports these cases are almost never a one patch fixes all. Hence they integrations team requires a ticket number with the findings that pertain your particular situation.
Hopefully, Woo gets back to you soon and they can shine a light on what could be happening with your website. Sorry to hear you are having to switch payment gateways and I hope this gets solved for you soon.

Agee! This is ridiculous at this point. Mine keeps disconnecting every couple of days (for the past several months now) and now it is not even alerting me via the email I used to get. This Square WooCommerce is the only plugin option and it is HORRIBLE! I need to get rid of Square, especially since it is causing me to lose money. I currently have a client who wants to pay me nearly $3,000 today and they can't due to the above issues. I have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting the plugin. This ongoing and ongoing and Square does not seem to care about the user --- only making their cut of a sale. Worst support as well.
I am having the same issue. Obviously, it's a widespread issue.
