Why can I accept a cash sale when the cash drawer is closed?
I am able to make a cash sale in Checkout with the drawer closed, why is this?

Hey @chaiden66!
Thanks for posting in our Seller Community. We do give the cash sale option to sellers who do not have a cash drawer connected. Is this the functionality you're referring to?
Let me know so I can look into this for you.

Hi @isabelle ,
Yes, I guess that would be the scenario to allow a cash transaction without a drawer. However in our case, we do have a drawer. It would be great to have the option to not allow a cash sale if the drawer is closed. This is a big loophole for using the system with a drawer.
Thanks,
Cody

Hey @chaiden66.
Thanks for your reply.
I can see how that would be beneficial. Right now, the ability to turn off cash sales while a cash drawer is closed, is currently a feature request. Keep an eye out on the Seller Community for feature request updates.
Thanks again for surfacing this question, and happy holidays!
