WHY CAN'T WE BACKUP THE ONLINE/WEEBLY ITEM DATA

There seem to be one million ways for the user to do something to make the online item listings in Weebly/the Online store DISAPPEAR / unsynch from square and when they do ALL OF THE ONLINE STORE Item descriptions, categories, and extra photos are also deleted and have to be rebuilt by the user.  I don't care how you do it - the Online store item data & extra photos NEED TO BE BACKED UP FOR RECOVERY.   Why aren't they?

Good question here. When items and settings are created within your Online Dashboard, they are saved to our servers - meaning that the settings you've put in place will reload on any device you log in to use for your business. 

 

In regards to backing up that data in the event of our Sellers accidentally deleting specific items or information, you are correct - this is not available and would be considered a Feature Request. While I am not privy to why specific feature are introduced and others have yet to be, I am more than happy to pass along your feedback to our Product Teams for visibility.

I agree - this is an important feature request.

 

More than once just one minor error on my part and the item info completely disappears.

 

It can take hours to rebuild.

 

I have stopped trying to sync between the old and new items list.  I just started from scratch and build the items up one at a time on the weebly site.

 

In the meantime:

- I create a folder in my linux mint computer for every single item. (just use whatever computer you have)

- I make a libre office document (like a word doc) for ever single item description

- The photos that go with that item I keep in the same folder for each item

 

That way at least I have them myself and can copy / paste more easily.
