Updating Categories
So, I updated my items so all are now assigned to categories. Will the dollar amounts, which showed previously under "uncategorized" be automatically moved into the correct categories now, and make my reports more accurate? If so, how long does it take? Or do I need to create a different report?

Changes made to items or categories will not effect past sales. They will only effect sales from that point forward. The only thing you can do is to pull an item detail.csv report and manually update the data. This can then be used for your financial accounting needs. This will not change any past data in Square.

That is really a bummer. I would like to have my historical transacation updated also to reflect a category that was not assigned at the time the item was created, but has now been modified to include a category. That seems odd that would not be functionality that could be available. Can this be reported as something that would be helpful to allow this? especially if it is "uncategorized", really makes for bad reporting and extra work.
