Troubleshooting printer stations with Square Stand

We have two Square Stands, each with a local printer (USB), plus two kitchen printers (Ethernet).  We've had several times where one of the Square Stands will stop printing receipts/tickets to one of the printers, either the local printer or one of the kitchen printers. If we do a test print from the POS app, it works properly.  If we try to print a prior receipt, it doesn't print.  If we stop the POS app on the iPad and restart it, the printer works properly again.  Both Square Stands have had the problem.  Since the test print works, it appears that this is a problem with the app rather than the hardware.

Sorry to hear about this repeating problem. We want this to work for you consistently. 

 

Make sure your printer stations are setup correctly. Make sure you have selected the correct receipts, order tickets, and order ticket stubs selected for printing at each printer. 

If your printer stations look good to go, make sure there are no connection issues with your Square Stand terminals. It is possible that the USB hub could be damaged, inhibiting the connection. You can order a new USB hub from us directly.
