Taxes not being added to online square sales

Hi, I have one item I sell via square online service. Ive created the item, added tax rates manually and auto, selected that it be calculated and not "included" in the price. Double checked online square settings with just the terminal settings, all have taxes added. Still during checkout taxes are not being added, therefore I end up paying them out of the total and loose money on the sale.

I've tried everything short of just calculating a total with sales tax included, however it looks tacky in my opinion.

Taxes are calculated at checkout after the shipping details have been entered. 

One important thing to remember about US taxes is that you only need to collect them if you have a presence in the state that you are shipping an order to. If you don’t, you don’t collect taxes.

Taxes are still not being calculated even when I use test addresses with full details, short of entering card information (which i haven't done) it does not show calculated taxes
