I figured it out 🙂
Hello! I'm struggling to get my tax to show correctly. I'm wondering if it was impacted by recent changes. At in-person events I leverage the POS apps and have inclusive tax because it's just so much easier for cash transactions. But online, I like for the tax to be additive. It all appears to be the same now, can I set these up differently? Thanks!
Hello @mymidwestabode thanks for your question. When you say you have tax inclusive for in-person events, do you have the item price set for this included tax? Or does the App reduce the item price by a certain amount? If you're doing it this way, do you then have another item price that does not include the tax or listing on your website?
You may be able to set up a second location and apply a different tax rate, and use that for your in-person sales and let your online sales auto-add the extra sales tax. Taxes are specified in your Dashboard here: https://squareup.com/dashboard/business/manual-taxes
