Square commissions not being calculated for each staff member

I have the basic flat rate commissions set up for two staff members. Only one location. I added an additional staff member back May 1st and set up their commission rate for services sold and no commissions for items sold. Calculations are set to not include Discounts, Taxes and Processing fees too. Since May 1st there has been no commissions being calculated for this new staff member. The original staff member I have had since last year has had their commission calculated on services sold.  Not exactly sure why this is not working. No one from Square seems to be able to get back to me on this either. Several calls so far. Guess I need to ask the community if anyone else is having this same issue and if they have found a workaround.

 

Very frustrating when you are sold on new functionality that Square supports commissions on multiple staff members. This is basic flat rate commission and not even the tiered rates. Hate to find out how that actually works.

 

I am also finding out if you add a custom sale of an amount on the Square POS Square defaults this as a Item sale and not a Service sale. So, if you do not pay commissions on Items and only Services, these custom sales will never have commission calculated for them. One would have thought in the design of this commissions feature that when you enter a custom amount sale you would be able to select if it is a Service or an Item sale so the correct commission could be calculated.
