I am using an original Square stand with an IPAD 2. When using the regular check out i have no issues using the magstrip swipe on the stand. However, when checking out in appointments, the system Disconnects the Square Stand. Any thoughts?
I have read that i may need to purchase a external Swiper but i want to know if there is a setting or something i'm missing.

Hmm, something seems off. Sounds like you may need to reinstall the Appointments app - at it fixes most issues with the App communicating with the Square Stand. Also, I'd double check if your iPad's iOS is updated to the latest version ( 9.3.5)
