Square Device Compatibility Question

Hello I have a square from about 3 years ago that I haven’t used I’m wanting to start up my craft business again can I still use the one I have or do I need to get a new one?

I believe the older readers still work - we have a lot of crafters that are studio members or staff here and I know they aren't updating their readers that often.
