Reports

Does anyone know why daily transactions reports are sent out at 6:30 pm EST? I have transactions that often occur after that time frame and the report does not reflect those transactions or the fees associated. I have contacted square multiple times and no one can give me an answer. I have also requested a manager contact me about this and I have had no response currently.

Since I do not work for Square I am not sure why you get them when you do.

I believe if you sign in to your dashboard and change the Close of Day to a Later time this may help.

 

Go here : https://squareup.com/dashboard/account 

Then Business Information

and then Transfers.

Adjust the Close of Day Column to something later.  We close at 6pm and my Close of Business is 8pm incase we stayed open later during Holiday shopping in the Fall.

Here is a screen shot of what you are looking for to change.   I think, but am guessing.

@Genesis1health I also had the same issue until someone (possib@Candlestore) pointed me in the right direction. I seem to feel that the change didn't take effect immediately for some reason. Good luck getting any meaningful assistance from Square Support. I have found them to be slow to respond, dismissive and evasive when they do, and often provide replies showing that they either didn't read or didn't comprehend the question. Escalations do not happen - forget about that. The only reliable support is via the community forums.

It sounds really frustrating to deal with incomplete reports. While changing the Close of Day time might help as suggested by @Candlestore, this issue could benefit from a more robust solution that ensures all transactions within your business hours are accounted for accurately.
