Reordering items within categories within item list on Order Online page

HELP! Up until a couple months ago, I had the ability via a right side drop-down arrows to rearrange items for sale within categories on my bakery website (ie, Category Cookies; items within it = Chocolate Chip, oatmeal, snickerdoodle, etc).

All of a sudden that ability disappeared, along with the righthand drop down arrows that were next to each Category. Those allowed me see all the items within it and drag them into the order I wanted (ie alphabetical).

Now when I go to edit my Order Online page, click on item list and select “Arrange & add items”, I’m only able to rearrange the categories by dragging the 6 dot grid on the left of each category. If I select the edit pencil icon on the right of the category title, I can see a list the items within that category but it doesn’t allow me to rearrange them!

Without this ability the items on my Order Online page are still grouped by category but arranged in a random order (ie Cookies; Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin, etc). This makes my website much harder for clients to locate the product they want to order along with looking extremely unprofessional!!!

When will this ability return and how do I work around it until then? Thanks

@indyxena The ability is there.  I just checked my site.  I’m guessing that the interface changed, though for the life of me I can’t remember reordering online items any other way.  Still, I am OLD!  LOL

From your dashboard go to your online store.  Then go to Items -> Site Categories, and select the category you want to rearrange the items in.  You will see a screen like the first one below.  On the LEFT side of each item is a block of six dots.  This is the rearrange icon.  Click (or if you are on a mobile device, press and hold) on this and move the items around (see second screen shot below).  When you are done, click Save.

Let me know if you should need anything else.
