Redirecting from .weebly.com domain to new domain purchased through Weebly

Hi,

I've been using the following website: https://lendev.weebly.com for a few years, but I just moved the site to a new domain, http://www.lendevlab.com/, which I bought through Weebly. I moved the contents to the new domain, that's working fine. My issue is that the old website .weebly.com does not redirect to the new one but rather gives a deprecated version of the website, which I am not able to edit. I looked online but could not find how to change this.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Yann

It seems like the problem disappeared - might have been a matter of waiting a bit. I don't see an option to delete my question unfortunately.

Hello there @yannlp

I see this was your first Community post. Welcome! We're always excited to see new faces.

I'm also happy to hear the issue has now been resolved.

I don't have a way to look into exactly what happened now that the subdomain is redirecting as expected, but I am pretty sure the issue was caused by the cache stored in your browser.

If you ever see strange behaviors such as this one, jump into an incognito window on your browser and try to open the website from there. If it works correctly in incognito, that means the cached version of your website stored in your browser was causing issues.

The good news when we experience cache issues? Clearing your browser's cache will resolve the issue and it is highly unlikely that any of your customers/visitors see any issues on their end, as it is information stored in your own device that's breaking things.

Hope this information is helpful, should you ever run into a similar issue in the future.

Thank you
