Receipts not sending

I was at an event last night and processed several transactions. I offered to send receipts after each transaction was processed, entering a mobile phone number or email address. 

They don't seem to arrive at the customer's phone or email address. 

Why is this?

I haven't had problems with this awesome feature in the past, but last night, it didn't seem to work.

 

Any ideas why?

@FindersMakers @Philzone Very sorry for the trouble this caused. Were either of you able to check in with any of your customers at the end of the day on Saturday/or early Sunday to see if their receipts arrived in the end?

 

If none of your customers received a receipt on that day it would be great if you could call our CS team directly so we can investigate this further.

I'm having trouble getting square to send receipts also. At first it work and then quit on testing with my cc. I called in and found out that I had skip receipts on and then cut if off and it work fine on next test. I took it out a couple days later to start using and did a test before I use it with my cc and it didn't give me the option to send receipts. I tried both way with skip receipts on and off and still does not let me send them.

Curious how you know it's not sending your receipts? For instance are you attempting to charge your own card for this and see if it is sending the receipt? What kind of email addresses are reporting this issue? Are they private domains? Have you seen if a receipt is being generated when you look up the purchase information on the website?

If it's a private domain our support team can help you troubleshoot this a bit more - but it would be helpful if you had a few specific few email addresses and transactions we can trace this back to when you reach out.

After It accepts the sale it does not give me a screen to send an email.

i just used another cc that I had and it send the receipt

If you have previously used this card - it will not prompt for an email address to be put in, it will send the receipt automatically. It only prompts for a email address or phone number if there has not been one previously associated.

While using the square mobile, the transaction receipt cannot be sent because the software does not recognize all domains
