Problem with adding a vendor

I just went to add a vender/ supplier to my vendors information, after adding everything, the vendors name was there but no address website email phone ... those fields were all blank.  When I clicked on Vendor it went to open the vendors information page and displayed ut-oh something went wrong.

 

New Bug?

 

This is all I see and cannot open the vendor to add missing info now

I just checked on my chromebook and it was fine, checked on this computer and it just showed the Name of the vendor and the State....then I closed chrome reloaded the Vendors and samething.   Its weird how the Chromebook showed the vendor with Address and phone number but another windows computer did not.   They should both be pulling the data from the website at Square.up right?  Gonna give it an hour and look again on the Computer.

Your concern has been escalated and someone from the team will be back with updates once we get a response. 

 

But in the meantime, I would suggest clearing the cache on the browser you're using on your Chromebook (Chrome, I assume?). These issues are common when a browser has cached information and is showing old data instead of loading the new data from the site.

I saw someone suggested clearing the internet cache, Tried that and history and cookies, still showed the new vendor as blank even tho the Chromebook now showed it as I entered as I mentioned above.  Finally turned off the offending computer for a few hours, came home and looked on computer at home, it is also fine, so I will check the offending computer monday, maybe after it gets some rest over night it will be fine.

Ah! I got that all wrong. 

 

I was thinking the Chromebook was the villain here. 

 

One other thing to check is if the browser is up-to-date. I'll leave you here the browser versions we currently support:

  • Chrome 107+ (macOS, Windows)

  • Chrome 90+ (Android)

  • Edge 106+ (macOS, Windows)

  • Firefox 106+ (macOS, Windows)

  • Safari 16.0+ (iOS, macOS)

(My personal favorite is Chrome, but Safari also works well for me on mobile devices)

 

Once the computer has had some rest, let us know how things went!

 The Chrome version on the offending Windows 10 computer is - 121.0.6167.139

Which is close to the versions on other PC's I have .140 insteadof .139 at the end were on 2 computers but 3 had .140  Chromebook is at .140. Weird thing was I logged in from home on my wifes laptop and it gave the same error and Blanks for the newly added vendor.  I do not use her computer for Square for the most part and if we do it is just the reports.  So a Vendor issue in items does not seem to be a cache problem on that computer.  Now I have had to clear the cache on my website in its back office already and wondering if that may have been the issue since the offending PC that was off over night is now fine.   Who knows computers do weird things.
