Order not showing up?!

I posted a physical item for sale this morning. 30min ago one of my followers purchased the item and sent me the a screenshot and merchant order number. 

He sent me this information and asked if the payment went though since my site still shows the item is available.

I logged into my square site dashboard and do not see any sales or orders. 

Is this normal to have a significant lag?!

I have also not received an order confirmation email that the item has been purchased.

The buyer used afterpay... not sure if the affects anything.

Well heck and order email did just come though. But I don't think it was the same guy?

Will the original guy get a refund if there was only one item in inventory? Does Square allow multiple purchases of the same item,?

I've had hundreds of online orders go through square and have always received a confirmation email. 

 

My guess is that the original guy was trying to scam you by making a fake order confirmation. Did it look like your order confirmations should?

 

Unless there was a glitch in the system Square shouldn't have allowed multiple purchases of the same item if the item quantity is set to 1, if the original purchaser's card didn't go through or there was an issue with afterpay then I would just apologize and offer a different item.

So another development. 

The gentleman was using afterpay and payment/charge #1 just hit is bank account. On the item that was already sold to another person. Is there a contact email or phone number I can give him to troubleshoot this with square?
