Online Checkout Link limit is $2,000 (over gives Unexpected Error bubble)

I'm creating this post after troubleshooting all morning with several Square reps in the hopes of saving someone else valuable time. (Shoutout to Lourdes who finally stuck with me all the way through, and didn't try to pass me off to Weebly support for a Square issue - you're great!)

THE LIMIT FOR CREATING AN ONLINE CHECKOUT LINK IS $2,000. If you attempt to Creat a Checkout Link for more than $2,000, you will get "An Unexpected Error has Occured. Please Try Again Later." Nowhere is this posted, and the reps themselves don't know it - Lourdes finally got to someone else internally who informed her. I lowered my amount to $2,000 and it generated the link. 

A WORKAROUND: Click the menu in the top right (3 horizontal lines) and go to Items. Create New Item and add the amount you wish to charge. You can then obtain a link of that item. 

I've submitted the link to my client. Here's hoping I don't run into more issues.
