Messages plus phone calls disable

Is there a way to disable the ability for customers to call you on the messages plus service?

@Berolina After working with our Advanced Support, they have advised you to do the steps below:

 

  1. Visit Square Messages Settings here.
  2. Turn off the “Leave a voicemail” option.
  3. Keep “receive a follow-up text message” toggled on

To disable the ability for customers to call you through Messages Plus, you should check the settings within your Square Dashboard or Square Point of Sale app. Here's a general guide:

  1. Square Dashboard: Log in to your Square Dashboard from a web browser.

  2. Navigate to Messaging Settings: Look for the settings related to Messages Plus or Customer Messaging within your account settings. There might be options to control how customers can contact you, including phone calls.

  3. Adjust Call Settings: Within the messaging settings, there should be options to enable or disable phone calls from customers. If there isn't a specific option to disable calls, there might be settings related to business hours or availability that indirectly control when calls can be received.

  4. Save Changes: After making any adjustments, be sure to save your changes to apply them to your account.

Thanks for trying to help, could you please provide me with a screenshot or some other clue as to where these settings might be located?

There might be and there should be didn’t help so far.

Do you have the free version of Messages or are you working with Messages Plus?

That can be the reason your settings will look different from what @DammiAdservices described.

Both of those features were turned off, I turned on the follow up text message, now  instead of the call I get an email with a voice mail. That does not work obviously.

I am in the same boat. We do not want the phone call feature at all and cannot figure out a way to remove the option to "Call". Please update if you find a way to turn it off.
