Managing Holiday Preorders and Regular Preorders
We are a small bakery and in the last year have utilized our online store to allow customers to schedule their orders up to 30 days in advance. As we approach this years holiday season we are hitting a lite snag in the system. In years past, we have never allowed preordering for regular items on our holiday pickup dates. For example, Thanksgiving menu pickup is that Wednesday, and while we offer our full menu on top of special orders, we have only ever allowed people to order ahead from the set menu. We are a very small team and when we have allowed open ordering, we go from approx 150 orders to over 300 with lots of single items, or customers putting in multiple orders every time they realize they also want 1 more baguette etc. (We had 4 customers the first year with over 5 individual order slips) Inevitably, something can get missed.
Does anyone have a solution for blacking out that date (or any other holiday) without removing the option to sell anything at all. I would love if the preorder selection overrode the closed setting in fulfillment. We used the digital items function once, which works well enough, but removes the option for a specific fulfillment or reminders for pickup.
Seems basic enough to me, but I've thought that about a bunch of features that still don't exist.

Hey @BCCAnnie I am sorry our current online ordering system isn't quite working out for you and can understand how having the preorder selection overrode the closed setting in fulfillment would be helpful. At this time this would be a feature request. I am tagging some super sellers who might be able to provide their expertise or some workarounds for now. Thank you @Pesso @Doran @TCSlaguna @HC_Charlie @VanKalkerFarms for all your assistance. if you need anything else let me know, I am happy to help!
