Kiosk Not charging iPad

Is anyone else having an issue with the Square Kiosk terminal not charging the iPad?

I purchased the Kiosk, and right off the bat, the iPad would not charge in the stand. It charges independently and the hub charger also charges the iPad. 

I contacted Customer Service this past weekend and they replaced the unit warranty for me. 

Now the new one I received yesterday is doing the same thing...except that when I first connected everything, the iPad was indeed charging and customers were using the Kiosk today, but at the end of the day I noticed a Low Battery message on the screen and again, the Kiosk is not charging the iPad. I am forced to remove the iPad from the Kiosk terminal and charge it independently.

HELP...I don't want to keep exchanging the item. 

Am I missing something???

Is this a normal thing that happens???

That is interesting.  are there settings in the iPad for charging?  I don't have access to mine now, but I know on the Android ones for like Grubhub they only charge to 80% and stop so it isn't fully charging all the time.

Does the the charger in the kiosk look chipped or broken? Have you tried resetting your ipad
