When I have items in Square with variations and try to sync those back to QB inventory, QB will only allow one of the variants to be an item because they have the same name. It seems to me that the only work around would be to not use variants in Square and make each item a seperate thing. That's unfortunate becaue I like the checkout layout with the variants. Does anyone know of a way to allow for variants and get them to sync back to QB and stay accurate on the inventory count? Can the name be slightly different in QB but have the SKU's match up and it still sync?

Welcome to the seller community, @bobbypintulsa and @scoutwestcounty. Thanks for bringing this up and I'm sorry to hear about the frustration.
I went to check for additional measures that could be taken from Square's end, but it looks like you'll need to get in touch with QuickBooks directly for more insight. QuickBooks builds and supports the integration on their end, with Square allowing for them to pull the item data. If any other sellers who've experienced this issue have a solution or workaround to share, feel free to chime in!
Hope this helps get you in the right direction.
