I am currently going through a divorce so I have returned to my maiden name. When I opened my square account my last name on my business bank account was my married name. Unfortunately square has no options for a legal name change, though I have all supporting documents. My bank and all government issued identification is all updated to my maiden name yet my square account cannot be changed. To create a new account and manually enter all my upcoming appointments will take hours if not days. This is extremely frustrating, this needs immediate action square, for myself and anyone else in the same situation.

I know people have asked for this feature for a few years. For people getting married or divorced and changing last names legally. I am not sure if this can be done by a Business Transfer or not. I would call Square Support and ask them. Changing names is not usually allowed since its connected to your Bank and other sensitive personal information.
Square support number is in my Signature line below.
If you go here on your dashboard you might be able to transfer ownership with in your business from Married last name to Maiden last name. I never tried this but here is a link on your dashboard about this : https://squareup.com/dashboard/business/about-my-business
I would still call support to make sure you can do this.
