I went to to edit section to edit my digital receipts and it was not what is going out to customers

I went to account>receipts to make a change and the image is not what is on my actual digital receipts, so I could not make the change. For clarification, there is a link I put on my digital receipts for customers to go sign a waiver now that they have paid. There needs to be a space between two words in the text and I went to put it in there, only to find a completely different receipt example in the online editing. The text that shows when customers receive digital receipts, and I know this bc I get a copy, is not even on the editing page. It is as if, I created a receipt that goes out to customers and that format is not saved in the system, so I cannot edit it.  I changed the one on the template but I need the text higher up, where people have not stopped reading, on the receipt and it is as if that is no longer an option. Ideas?

After your edits are done are you clicking save at the bottom right of the screen?

I don’t think you understand the problem. Receipts go out digitally to my customers. They have certain attributes - a logo, color behind it, description of the product purchased and a custom message. When I go into edit the receipt, the editable template should have the same features, right? It doesn’t - it is an entirely different looking receipt that has my refund policy on it? Every time someone buy something from me I receive an email of the digital receipt they received when they made the purchase online. The receipts that people are receiving look nothing like what Square is giving me to edit. I want to edit a URL that I’ve included on the receipt and that URL is not even on the receipt that Square gives me the option of editing. Not to oversimplify, but pretend that I send out digital receipts with a cat on them and I need to change the cats name - text. When I go into edit the receipt there is a picture of a dog with no name, that is the best analogy I can come up with for what I am experiencing.

I figured it out! The digital receipts that you receive as an email are not considered receipts by Square. Those are considered communication. You have to go to the online tab then go to communications then to emails and that is where you can make the changes. Hope that helps you!
