I was unable to be verified for credit card processing. What can I do?

Hi, my company and I are new to US - came laste year. I have everything - LLC, EIN number, Bankaccount, SSN, permanet address etc - but can't register. System suggest me to try with previsus address/names - but for obivius reasons I dont have that. Please help

Sorry for the trouble, @zignavisual and @Hope.

 

The questions you see while activating are populated by an identity verification system. I don't have access to the questions and I don't have a workaround for you. We're required by our banking partners to verify our customers' identity.  If we're unable to verify your identity via this method, there's nothing more I can do.

Sounds like an “Internet Problem” I’m on a computer what else we gonna use our phones aren’t gonna let us fix my square or let me deactivate this so I can go to Shopify

I have been trying to get this to work for MONTHS now. I bought the contactless chip reader off of amazon only to receive it and enter THE CORRECT information several times. I checked with my bank for the correct info and EVERYTHING. I am not getting help from ANYONE with square and I feel like I'm going to lose my mind. If anyone can give me any advice that would be great. It’s so dumb because I even entered my sin number. Like I don’t know what could possibly prove my identity more than that.

When trying to set up a Square account to accept credit card payments, it won't accept my personal identification as valid. My wife tried to get through the same thing and she eventually got locked out of ever having an account. How to get past this point and set up an account?

Unfortunately there isn't anything further we can do as we cannot assist with the identity verification process or see what information is being inputted that doesn't match up.

 

You can try these tips from the Support Center but that's all I can advise.

At some point the answer can't always be, "there isn't anything further we can do."  We are losing business and sales because Square won't activate credit card payment.  I too entered everything correctly, connected my back account, etc., etc.  We can't all be wrong on this. Just simply being able to talk to a live person would probably resolve these issues, but it's impossible to talk to a Square representative.  Can you please offer a solution to your customers who keep the Square business going instead of telling us nothing?

I agree 100%. For so many people to be having the same problem there is obviously something wrong with the system. They could request verification like Paypal or a bank. I have had to send pics of my ss card or a scan of the irs letter showing my tax id to verify my information in the past. That is reasonable . To say the customer service is lacking is an understatement being you cant talk to anyone. For them to say that there is nothing else they can do is just a slap in the face and shows that they don't value or care about having us  customers.

Based on the large numbers of Square account holders attempting to verify their accounts (with no success), it appears that this is a huge issue with Square. And telling people "there is nothing more you can do" speaks volumes about Square's willingness to (or lack thereof) to either problem solve or provide constructive support. I cannot seem to find any option to submit a support ticket or get beyond the robotic automated Chat assistance - which did nothing to help.

I have set up a free Square Store for a Volunteer organization I am assisting. The bank account has been verified and we're ready to start selling the organization's History Books. However,  I cannot get the account activated. In my efforts to do so, I've now exhausted my four attempts to activate. This is the second client I've attempted to set up a Square Store with... we left the last time over the same issue and the lack of support from Square when problems were encountered. (Went to Shopify with great success.) Any help as to how to move forward would be appreciated - we're totally stuck and are days away from needing this store to work.

At this point, your best bet is looking at alternative options. Unfortunately Square offers their wonderful customers no further assistance with this issue. You will not be able to resolve this issue in time to open your store.

I'm unable to activate my Square account. I tried many times to verify my identy taking care to exactly enter my name and address. But each time, it is rejected. I contacted Square support by email 6 days ago and so far I simply received an automatic acknowledge. What should I do to activate the account?

As part of my set-up, I am asked to fill out this identity verification form. I have filled out every spot correctly and yet it tells me that it is unable to verify me because something was entered incorrectly. So I did it again, checking every spelling and making sure that I did everything correctly and yet again, I was denied. I am so confused and frustrated. Is there anything that I can do to fix this or anywhere I can check to see if I need to change any of my info because I haven't found it yet. Please help. Thank you.
