I have time out issues when using the chip reader. Is there a workaround?

I sell at renaissance festivals in the Northeast and MidAtlantic states.  With the rise of applications like Instagram and TikTok, data connectivity at the festivals has become rough.  It can be difficult to impossible to maintain the secure connection the chip reader requires.  Has anyone come up with a workaround for this other than not using it?

So if your problem is connection issues with your cell provider, ask the cell provider if a hotspot could get a better signal than a cell phone.  You might be able to have the Hotspot higher to repeat a cell signal to your cell for better connectivity?  Not saying it will be better but just something to look into.
