I understand the frustration @jwv76 - and I see what you mean by the number of i's determining the compatibility being confusing and disappointing.
I wish I had a timeline I could share for when we will complete testing and mark the T20iii as compatible with Square. I can assure you, it's a top priority, as we always want Square to be compatible with the most up to date accessories that our sellers rely on to run their business most efficiently.
What happens when you try to pair the printer with your device using Square? Is there a specific error message you're receiving currently? (I'm just curious, as I've seen with certain barcode scanners that the scanner may be compatible before Square is done testing or makes a public announcement).
I can assure you that we will update this thread as soon as we hear any announcements regarding the T20iii.

Hello @Juiceplanet650 !
A couple of things could be the culprit here.
- Is your printer connected to your router? I'm not familiar with the T20III, but with a TSP100 you can press and hold the feed button when you turn on the printer. It'll print a status report, pause a second, then print a slip with your IP address on it. If the printer's IP shows 192.whatever, chances are it didn't get an IP from your router.
- Is your tablet and printer on the same network? For me, I have a private network for the POS and the other computers and a public network. I can't tell you how many hours I've wasted troubleshooting printer issues when it turns out the iPad connected to the public network... 😑
Hopefully one of these two are the culprit. If not, let us know and we will see what else we can try!

The printer and the iPad on the same network prints ip and dns and getway . I can do a test from the epson app, but I cannot see the name of the printer through the square app

Hmmm.... that's really interesting.
One thing I noticed from the Hardware Compatibility Chart is that this printer works in a USB mode (with some manual configuration) but it doesn't work in an Ethernet mode? To me (who is not a hardware geek by any stretch of the imagination) I'm at a loss: time to bring in the big guns:
Hey @Helen , any chance of reaching out to the dev teams and seeing what they think about this?

Thank you very much @ryanwanner , and I am excited to know the secret of this mystery Knowing that the older version TM-T20II works normally, as for this version, Epson TM-T20III is completely invisible

Hello @Juiceplanet650 @ryanwanner! I'm so sorry for the delay.
I have been researching this for you both and I have an update. The Epson TM-T20II is supported with Square Stand (USB connection). However, the newer model of this printer, the Epson TM-T20III is not yet supported. Our Hardware team is working to add support for both printers but I don't have a timeline to share yet. I'll post here to let you know about any other updates.

Actually, I just checked and I ordered the TM-T20II, but received the III instead, I’m guessing the II isn’t being made anymore?

Hi, I am also in a bind with this. I also purchased a T20iii thinking I was purchasing a printer that was compatible with Square. Please tell me this update is being pushed through and will be resolved quickly?

Hey @jwv76!
We will definitely update our hardware compatibility site when we've tested the T20iii's compatibility with Square.

Hi @isabelle , thanks for the response. I need to know what the timeline is for adding the T20iii to the compatibility list. How do I request for this process to be escalated/ expedited? I spent $$ on this printer 100% believing I was buying a printer that was compatible. I mean, one is named T20ii the other is T20iii if you squint your eyes ever so slightly the two product names are practically identical.
Anyone could make this mistake and I'm sure I'm not the only one - I mean come on. One has an extra lower case "i" at the end of the name, who would think these are not cross-compatible products? I didn't even notice my mistake until after I set up the hardware. I checked the compatibility chart three times before I caught the mistake.
It seems the T20iii is the updated version of the T20ii, the specs are basically identical. I am confused why they would not be cross compatible. I am not sure I can return this purchase, and I am very concerned I just wasted my money on it, just because I neglected to count the number of "i"s at the end.

Square does not detect the printer at all. I am running Square for Restaurants on an iPad, The TM-T20iii is connected to the network via ethernet.

Any updates on the TM-T20iii ?
I still own this printer and would still like to be able to use it
It's been nearly 6 months since my intial inquiry, still wondering if there is a timeline in place for adding it to the compatibility list.

Hello! Just was reading about this and maybe you can help with my situation. I’ve got a epson tm-m30li connected via Ethernet. All iPads, square stand and phones see the new printer. However my square register does not. I’ve tried everything, do you know if the register is not compatible with this printer yet? Thanks for you time!

try updating the software, and try again. What is the message on the screen when you plug in the printer?

The software on the square register gets updated automatically. When I plugged in a tm-10 via Ethernet It popped up on the register. The tm-30Ii does not though.

To clarify, I mean the USB version. I have not tested the ethernet version. Can anyone confirm if they got either one to work, after updating the square app?

Looking forward to hearing when this will be compatible via Ethernet. From what I can find the III is just an upgrade of the II with little changes. I would be willing to beta test if you are looking for testers and feedback.
