Followed the steps to connect a reader. It flashes 4 orange for awhile then goes all 4 red. Does not connect. It had been working til a few weeks ago. I am updated. I have turned everything ( phone, app, Bluetooth) on and off several times. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. I have reset the reader. I am on a galaxy j3 6

Hey @KGael51, sorry to hear about the trouble! It looks like the Samsung Galaxy J3 isn't listed on our Device Compatibility page. If your device isn't on the list we cannot guarantee that it will work.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. 😔
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for your input. We had already checked the compatibilty, and the Samsung Galaxy J3 *is* compatible with the contactless chip reader.

Sorry @KGael51! I must have scrolled through the list to fast. Quick question, under the bluetooth settings of your device do you see the reader connected?

We have given up - Square App has done an update recently that has thrown our abitlity to use contact chipless off.
they keep recommending the same basic setup steps, that don't work. None of the "fixes" make any difference.

Hey @KGael51, I've heard of this happening before. I recommend checking if the reader is connected in your bluetooth settings. If it is you will need to forget the device and then pair it again inside the Square Point of Sale.
If it's not paired there please let me know. We can still warranty your reader if you're within 1 year of the purchase date.
I'll keep an eye out for your reply.
