This has not solved the issue nor does updating from an ipad air to the latest version ipad 2018. Card reader discconects and reconnects many times, even during trasactions.

Hi @seaside, I'm sorry to hear your reader is disconnecting from your iPad. These troubleshooting steps usually resolve connection issues between the Contactless and Chip reader and an iPad.
If it keeps happening though, in particular if the connection drops during a transaction do give our Customer Success team a call, that shouldn't be happening.
(I've moved your post to a new thread because the other thread was related to an issue between the Stand and the iPad rather than the reader.)
