Card Reader asking for POS Update
Hi All,
I have just received my new Square Reader Contactless kit and I am having trouble connecting it to my iPhone. When I attempt to pair it following the included instructions, I am getting a message saying that I need to update Square POS. I have checked the app store and I have the latest version installed.
Please note that this may be an issue as I am using the latest public beta available of iOS 11 and I understand this issue may be caused by the iOS Beta rather than an issue with the Square POS app. I thought it important to report and seek more information in case it is a bug in the POS app that the developers need to look into.
PS I am setting up Square for the first time, so this is completely new to me and I may be doing something wrong, however, I do not think so.

I'm running iOS 11 beta 7 on my iPhone, but I have not yet tried to pair a chip reader with my phone. (I mostly use my phone for the dashboard app to monitor sales.)
Update: I just connected one of our chip readers with no issues.
Are you running the public beta or developer beta? The Square app was crashing on launch up until the most recent developer beta that came out last week...so if you're on the public beta, I'd expect you'll see your issues resolved when the next public beta goes out.
