egift cards
I have been trying to find out if I can set up egift cards on my wordpress/woocommerce website and, so far, it appears the answer is no. I got an email pushing this option so I used the link and bought a test egift card. But when I tried to redeem the coupon code, it didn't work in my shop check out. I already have Square integrated as the processor in my online shop. I tried asking the Chat feature but that appears to just be a robot and was no help at all.

@CharleneMarsh I'm really sorry to hear the frustration regarding your eGift Cards. You cannot sell eGift Cards directly through your WooCommerce page, but you can link to the eGift Card checkout page from your WooCommerce site. Just go to Gift Cards > eGift Cards > Configure. From there, you can use the URL to embed a link on your current web page.
In regards to donations, we don't have a donation feature for API payments, but we do support donations in our app and Online Store.

I did a test egift card from the URL and, while I was able to purchase the egift card, I was unable to redeem it in the shop on my wordpress/woocommerce website. So it really isn't an option. I wish I had gotten a clear answer or indication that it doesn't work in woocommerce before I wasted 2-3 hours on it.

Hey @CharleneMarsh
Where are you trying to redeem the eGift Cards?
It looks like Square Gift Cards are not redeemable with 3rd party ecommerce integrations, so your customers can only use them on a Square Online store or in-person on your POS device.

Yes, that is what I am figuring out. Just frustrating to spend two hours trying to figure out how to make it work only to learn it cannot be used with Woocommerce. I had tried to install a Donate button earlier this year and found it could not be done with Square. I finally added Stripe. I may see if I can do an e-gift card with Stripe. Sure wish Square would add some more basic features such as donations and gift cards.
