I use the information gathered from the Sales Summary report BY DAY to record the Gross Sales less discounts/refunds/fees, etc and then I confirm the amount transferred to my bank equals the net of all those transactions in order to complete my bank recs in Quickbooks. So you would think that my Year End QB figures would match what the Sales Summary in Square says and it doesn't. It's off over $ 3K just in Gross Sales and the other deductions off by a few hundred. I cannot figure out why it doesn't tie when on a daily basis i copied exactly the info from the Sales Summary. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hello there @Reed5, and welcome to the Seller Community
Sorry to hear that discrepancies between QuickBooks and Square Reporting have brought you here. This one is a bit hard to troubleshoot since it involves a third-party integration. However, a tip that I could suggest would be to check Month by Month today to see where the discrepancy could exist.
I am not familiar with QB, so I am unable to confirm how to correlate these reports but hopefully going by month shines a light on a discrepancy.

@Reed5 ;
Since you are using QB and Square the only thing I am able to see quickly is you are using the Numbers from Square to enter the Numbers into QuickBooks. The Big problem most people do not see is that Square deposits are only the Credit Card transactions and not Cash Deposits. This can give discrepencies, but the Square report would show Cash and CC sales. My point here is make sure you are entering Cash Sales also into QuickBooks. Also look at your Taxes, between Square and Quickbooks, as Rounding errors can be present since Square calculates Taxes per Item Sold and QuickBooks calculates Taxes on the Total of each Transacation. If you enter daily Summaries and let Quickbooks calculate Taxes this could be a source of errors too. I was running into some of these rounding problems at first then started importing Squares actual numbers and now my QuickBooks matches to Square. I also use QuickBooks Desktop and not an online version. Not sure if that makes a difference.
